Tracie goes Euromedlab 2023

Join Tracie's Educational workshop titled: „Digitalizing your lab – how to and why?“ at this year's Euromedlab in Rome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Digitalization is omnipresent

The main objective of digitizing clinical processes is to standardize and hence reduce complexity of the daily life of healthcare professionals. The goal is to ensure quality standards while simultaneously optimizing care, however, this comes with change and must be managed accordingly.

At this year’s Euromedlab in Rome (21-25 May 2023), Tracie will host a workshop on the topic of „Digitalizing your lab – how to and why?“.

In the workshop, our speakers will give insights on the goals laboratories are pursuing by embarking on the path of digitalization and how they are dealing with this change process.

Our workshop is set up in three different parts, addressing the topic of digitization from different perspectives. In the following, you can find more details about our speakers and the topics they will speak about.

Part 1

„Digitalizing preanalytics – hospital lab perspective“

Speaker: Dr. Henk Ruven, Dept. of Clinical Chemistry, St. Antonius Ziekenhuis (NL)

Dr. Henk Ruven (Clinical chemist, Dept. of Clinical Chemistry, St. Antonius Ziekenhuis) will provide valuable insights into digitalizing projects of an in-house hospital lab. He will update you about the importance of managing stakeholder expectations, share real-life challenges and demonstrate how the St. Antonius Ziekenhuis innovates and prioritizes digitalization while avoiding pitfalls.

Part 2

„Digitalizing preanalytics – private lab perspective“

Speaker: Olivier Garnier, Laboratoire de Biologie Médicale BIOMEDILAM (FRA)

Olivier Garnier (Managing Director, Laboratoire de Biologie Médicale BIOMEDILAM) will present the process of digitalizing preanalytics from the perspective of a private lab. He will shed light on obstacles one might face and how to incorporate digitalized processes into the day-to-day operations of a modern laboratory to fully benefit from digitalization.

Part 3

„Implementing digitized processes – an experience sharing“

Speaker: Chiara Carrisi, Santagostino Lab, Centro Medico Santagostino (ITA)

Chiara Carrisi (General Manager, Santagostino Lab) will dive into the objectives that led Santagostino Lab to seek out a partnership with Greiner Bio-One and Tracie to implement digitized processes in their daily operations. She will share how digitalization has shown to improve the experience of staff as well as patients and how this approach distinguishes Santagostino Lab from other providers.

We look forward to meeting you at this year’s Euromedlab and hope you stop by at our booth (56-57) and join our workshop on Tuesday, 23 May at 14:30 in Room 1.
